Wow, Johnny Damon has stolen two bases on a single pitch. Nobody in baseball has ever seen such a thing.

It definitely helped the Yankees to take a 3-1 series lead against the Phillies in this year’s World Series. None of the players or managers had ever watched a player do that before. Was Damon being courageous or just lost his mind for a second? I guess we’ll never know. It definitely gave his team the spark they needed to win the game.

The Kansas City Chiefs have suspended Larry Johnson until Nov. 9th for “conduct detrimental to the club,” the team said Wednesday.

Johnson had been ordered to stay away from training and team activities on Tuesday while the club and the NFL investigated alleged comments made by the player.

According to the Kansas City Star, Johnson posted gay slurs, directed at Chiefs coach Todd Haley, on his Twitter feed hours after Sunday’s 37-7 loss to the San Diego Chargers. He also used gay slurs when speaking with the press as well.

We have the video of Cliff Lee’s “Who Cares” catch from last night’s World Series game one.

A lot of spectators couldn’t believe the way pitcher Cliff Lee caught the fly ball with a “devil may care” attitude. The pressure did not seem to touch him one bit.

The same goes for his pitching. He pitched all nine innings only giving up one run and six hits to the Yankees and threw ten strikeouts. He lead his team to victory and didn’t make a big scene when the game was over. Lee just casually walked down field and high fived the catcher like it was an office softball game or something.

Lee even had an amazing behind the back catch against the Yankees.

As you can see in the video above, Leon Washington had a tremendous injury to his right leg.

When another player rolled over his ankle it cause his leg to bend backwards in an akward way. The Associated Press is saying that he has a broken fibula. He had to leave the game and will likely be out for the whole Jets season.

Teammates are saying the bone broke right through the skin.

“That’s unfortunate,” coach Rex Ryan said. “It’s obviously a severe injury, but hopefully he’ll be joining us sooner than later.”

Can  Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings stay undefeated versus the defending Super Bowl champs, the Pittsburgh Steelers?

Right now as we speak/write the score is 10-7, Steelers are up at halftime. I think it would be really great if Brett Favre could keep his team from losing the whole year and win the Super Bowl. Wouldn’t that be an awesome way to finally retire from the NFL? No player has gone out like that in the history of the NFL. I suppose Bob Griese was the last player who had a chance at doing that but didn’t capitalize on it.

I’ve added that amazing pass (above) to show that Brett Favre still can do the unthinkable.

Kyrie Irving picks Duke as his college of choice to play basketball.

This young recruit is very talented and wanted by colleges. There is no relation to Julius Irving (I was pondering that myself). Word is out that he has committed to Duke.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Irving is the No. 4 point guard in the Class of 2010 and the No. 9 overall player, according to Rivals.com.

Irving is the sixth-ranked player in the nation, and the country’s second-best point guard according to Scout.com.

This should add a lot of depth to the Duke incoming freshman on the roster. He will be added to the 2010 Duke recruiting class that also includes four-star forward Josh Hairston and four-star point guard Tyler Thornton. Andre Dawkins, who was initially included in the 2010 class, enrolled early, and will play for head coach Mike Krzyzewski this season.

Watch out for Duke next year!

Marcus Jordan plays for UCF in college and they have a deal with Adidas, he is fine with that, except for one thing.

He will wear the shirt and shorts and headbands with the Adidas logo. Jordan wants to pay homage to his father by wearing the traditional Nike Air Jordans. He will not back down on the issue. This has caused a major dispute between Adidas and UCF as they had a deal that the sports teams would only use their athletic gear.

“When I was being recruited, we talked about it. They said they had talked to the Adidas people and it wasn’t going to be a problem. I think everybody understands how big of a deal it is for my family.” says Jordan.

Adidas spokeswoman, Andrea Croso had this to say:

“There is no compromise and the contract is currently under review.We are in negotiations for a future relationship regarding the broader UCF athletic program. What I can say is that these relationships are based upon agreed deliverable for both parties.”

We wish the best for Marcus and hope he gets to wear his father’s shoes.

Jeff Fisher decided to sport a Peyton Manning Jersey during a Nashville fundraiser.

Was he’s saying he wants to be on a winning team or that or he was a closet Peyton Manning fan? Or maybe he was trying to win over Manning to come over to the Tennessee Titans? Actually he was wearing it while introducing former Colts coach Tony Dungy.

When Tiger Woods finished teeing off at a course in North Carolina he issued a challenge for anyone to step up. Nobody guessed it would be 12 year-old Mark Benevento Jr.

The juvenile golf player was nervous and shaking, but despite that he drove it 200 yards straight down the fairway! When Tiger asked to see it again, the young up and comer repeated the amazing feat.

Of course he could never out drive Tiger, but just to hit a 200 yarder accurately under that kind of pressure. Your idol and a crowd of over 100 people are staring at your every move. Most adults couldn’t handle that.
