Marcus Jordan: Adidas
Marcus Jordan plays for UCF in college and they have a deal with Adidas, he is fine with that, except for one thing.
He will wear the shirt and shorts and headbands with the Adidas logo. Jordan wants to pay homage to his father by wearing the traditional Nike Air Jordans. He will not back down on the issue. This has caused a major dispute between Adidas and UCF as they had a deal that the sports teams would only use their athletic gear.
“When I was being recruited, we talked about it. They said they had talked to the Adidas people and it wasn’t going to be a problem. I think everybody understands how big of a deal it is for my family.” says Jordan.
Adidas spokeswoman, Andrea Croso had this to say:
“There is no compromise and the contract is currently under review. We are in negotiations for a future relationship regarding the broader UCF athletic program. What I can say is that these relationships are based upon agreed deliverable for both parties.”
We wish the best for Marcus and hope he gets to wear his father’s shoes.
